Quoted from the WWE Official Website:
“Armed Forces Entertainment is honored to work with WWE in what could be one of the largest offerings to U.S. Military personnel,” said Art Myers, director of Air Force Services, who oversees Armed Forces Entertainment. “It truly shows the immense respect and gratitude that WWE and its Superstars have for our Airmen, Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, National Guardsmen and Coast Guard.”
My Personal Experience: I have been a WWE (WWF, damn those PANDAS, lol!) fan since way back in the Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior days. I have followed story-lines for decades and jumped on WWE onDemand and switched to the WWE Network as soon as they were available, but the one area I lacked as a fan was in live attendances. In my 31 years of living I have gone to a handful of WWE live events, mainly house shows, one Monday Night Raw, one Smackdown, and one WWE Main Event taping. I would one day love to sit ringside at a Pay Per View event and discovering this little gem WWE offers military personnel might make that wish come true.
Going to the Pepsi Center for the Smackdown Live taping September 25th, I was still unsure of exactly how this process worked, but it was quite simple. Myself and 2 of my friends, also active duty military, walked over to the box office and we presented our Military ID's. The ticket worker then acknowledged that they had available tickets and that he would find a place where the three of us could sit together. We did not ask for any specific area and we wound up with really good seats in the 100 section of the arena.
Having gone to many other types of events at the Pepsi Center I can attest to the great deal it was to be seated where we were. It should also be noted that we showed up about 30 minutes after the listed event start time and received this deal. I Recommend that you know these tickets are available on a first come first serve and if available basis. If you are going to a show and are not sure of the deal, call the arena and confirm with them before heading out. I checked before leaving and was prepared to pay $20 for the cheapest available tickets if they had run out of free tickets.
